Working through all roles in the company since setting it up in 2004 has given me a very useful background to (and a lot of varied experience!!) for my current role, heading up Sales and Marketing and providing strategic leadership for the team.
My biggest motivation is helping others get ahead - whether by helping clients improve their coating processes to increase their productivity, profitability and performance, or by supporting our staff in achieving their life goals.
The positive and supportive culture that we have developed at Kortec helps everyone enjoy the successes and work through the challenges. It all revolves around care for the client and meticulous attention to detail!
Spending time with the family is my favourite relaxation, even though sports with my kids can be rather exhausting at times!
I started off in Accounts Administration – as the business grew I became more involved in management and continued to develop that over time into being responsible for the direction of the company in the Operations and Admin/Finance silos. This includes setting of strategic goals along with the other directors, then working with my team managers to establish detailed plans to achieve them and KPIs to support the team performance.
The organisation involved in finding efficiencies and improving productivity is something I’m very enthusiastic about, and I really enjoy working with our teams to continually review and streamline our service and processes!
The continual forward thinking and implementing change for future success – I really enjoy the feeling that as a team we have the right people and great goals to put us ahead of the game.
Exploring new places, and entertaining friends along with my family are things I very much enjoy. I also get a lot of satisfaction from planning and working through home tasks – DIY projects, cooking etc. Technology (particularly what supports planning/organisation) is also a strong interest and I’m always glad to research something new!
My role of overseeing QC at Kortec involves checking the accuracy of matches and consistency of production by using our spectrophotometers to read sample cards and carry out routine tinter weight checks on the dispensing machines.
Maintaining compliance includes arranging annual insurance renewals and regular reviews of H&S policies and risk assessments. Working with colleagues to uphold the standards and procedure of our QMS ensures that we maintain our ISO 9001 status.
I enjoy my work because of the variety presented by the technical challenges of QC and the involvement in all parts of the business to maintain compliance.

My personal interests of mechanics and electronics have been very useful at times to keep the operation going!

I am responsible for leading the HR/Compliance function in Kortec. This involves holistic management of our team – performance, recruitment, wellbeing, SOPs etc, as well as working with heads of departments on strategicprojects to improve and maintain our working practices.
I like the variety of my role; I get to work with a mix of team members on different projects.

Outside of work I enjoy Yoga, walking & spending time with friends and family.
My role at Kortec is as a key part of the Client Care team. I am your first port of call if you need to speak to us via phone or email regarding your orders or any queries. I am responsible for making sure all your orders are placed with the Operations team quickly and efficiently. With a background in recruitment I also assist the HR team with screening, interviews etc.
In this role I really enjoy speaking to all the clients and getting to know them. My job is quite varied, one second I could be placing an order for a client, the next I could be contacting suppliers for new products that have been requested. I enjoy the interaction this role entails and sometimes the problem solving that can occur.
I appreciate the positive atmosphere that I work in, and the Team I work alongside are the best. We are also given good training opportunities so we are always learning.
When I'm not at work I enjoy walking my Pocket Bulldog named Apollo with my partner and his children and going to the gym on a regular basis.
My main job role at Kortec is all aspects of Accounts Administration and debt management. However, I also help out in Client Care when required. I have worked in office administration for the last 5 years.
No two days are the same! Every week I learn something new. My colleauges are the best to work with - we drive each other to be the best we possibly can!

After working in Finance for all of my career I have had the opportunity to cover all aspects within the accounts function.

I have a background of seven years in Purchasing & Operations. At Kortec I am responsible for anything purchasing related: negotiating the best prices for our customers, controlling stock holding, launching new product ranges, and ensuring our supply chain is as reliable as possible. I work closely with the Operations & Client Care teams to ensure stock is in place to meet our clients’ requirements at any time.

I’ve been in branding and marketing for 30 years and still enjoy the creative aspects of my roles, always excited to not only create the strategy, but to be very hands-on with the design and execution. My role here at Kortec involves creating greater brand awareness, understanding, and developing potential markets, while ensuring the internal team is brought along for the journey.
My role here is the perfect mix of strategy and positioning, whilst still keeping very ‘hands on’ with the creative side of the messaging – something I’ve always enjoyed and is an important part of the overall marketing-mix.

Outside of work, I enjoy boxing, which I have done for many years, spending time with my dog, and motorbiking in the Peak District and beyond.
My role at Kortec is to support the senior leadership team as well as supporting the marketing Manager mainly in administrative tasks. Having had a background in Conveyancing and Real Estate I am experienced in organising workload, time management and marketing on social media.
That I have a supportive team surrounding me. If I don’t know the answer to something someone else will. I also like that no day is the same as with my job role I am presented with a variety of different task’s.

I have been working in the paint industry since 2004 where I have developed experience in various production and training roles. I have worked for Kortec for 10 years and gained vast experience in almost all operational roles including colour matching, quality control for our largest customers and logistics scheduling. I started as Warehouse Lead and have transitioned into Operations Supervisor and more recently Head of Operations. I am now responsible for managing all aspects of operations including production, quality control, logistics and day to day operations.

I started a apprenticship in July 2022 and my main job role is to colour match paint and stains to high standards from either samples or colour swatch. I also help with paint manufacturing and QC.

My job as a QC apprentice is to spray out the paint that is manufactured and then see how it needs to be adjusted to meet a more precise specification.
